Shange Jaara Lilaa has dedicated her life to fostering wellness and serving her community. Her passion for the arts, which began at a young age, inspired her to assist those in need. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Shange became a Lead Teacher, supporting students with various physical, emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. Her commitment to her community motivated her to obtain a Community Health Worker Certification from Prince George's Community College. Soon after, she took on the role of Adjunct Professor in Community Health Work, equipping others with the skills necessary to positively impact their communities. Shange's dedication to the Rebel Assemblage community earned her first place in the She Boss Talk Black Business Pitch Competition in 2023. She firmly believes that creativity, spirituality, and connectivity are vital for promoting wellness, creating a sense of purpose, and fostering healing. Shange is passionately committed to creating sacred spaces that allow herself and the community to be spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, and creatively revitalized.
