Bee Nicole Presents A Conversation with Yetunde Sapp
Yetunde is a Brooklyn-based multimedia artist, muralist, and creative director native to Washington DC. Her identity as a black woman comes as a constant source of inspiration in her work as both an artist and organizer, as she constantly navigates her identity in the context of predominantly rich and white spaces.

Within the art world, there are not many seats that have been made for black women- so rather than waiting for a seat at the table, Yetunde has decided to build one of her own.

In the wake of COVID-19, Yetunde embarked on her first entrepreneurial venture, SLACHOUZ, which stands for “Support a Living Artist Collective” house- a BIPOC artist residence and content house that she hopes can serve as a space for artists of color to thrive, grow, and have access to the resources needed in order to grow- solving problems she has seen constantly show up for her peers.
